Director Guram Matskhonashvili shares impressions from his research in Zugdidi, Georgia

The director of The Global Congress of Post-Prostitution Guram Matskhonashvili shares his visual impressions of Zugdidia town located in the westernmost part of Georgia. It is the capital of the historical province of Samegrelo, that speaks its own language. Formerly affluent, the town now appears visually chaotic, eclectic and fiercely capitalistic. Zugdidi offers a mix of old castles, furniture shops, and funeral salons, all of which are as baroque and posh as it can get, and interwoven with currency exchange booths.
