Festival Pass

Grand Hotel Abyss, the core program of steirischer herbst ’19, can be visited with a Festival Pass. The Festival Pass can be purchased online, at the Visitor and Press Center, or at special sales points (see below).

The Festival Pass is nontransferable and only valid in combination with valid photo identification. Reservations are only valid in conjunction with a Festival Pass.

The Festival Pass also offers reduced admission to musikprotokoll and most Parallel Program events of steirischer herbst.

The Festival Pass also provides free entry to all events of the Weltmaschine : Österreich program at Literaturhaus Graz (3.10.–5.10.). Please reserve your participation in individual events on the Literaturhaus Graz website www.literaturhaus-graz.at.

Free admission for events of Ideas, the discursive program of Grand Hotel Abyss.

A copy of the Guidebook is included in the price of the Festival Pass.
Without a Festival Pass, the Guidebook can be purchased separately for 10 Euro and is available at the Visitor and Press Center.


Single Tickets

Single tickets are available for Grand Hotel Abyss performative productions.

These can be purchased online, at the Visitor and Press Center, at ticket sales locations (see below), or directly at the respective venues.

Please note that no single tickets are available for the Opening Extravaganza on 19.9. at Congress Graz. Admission is only possible with a Festival Pass; seats are on first-come-first-serve basis. Entry to the Opening Ceremony at Landhaushof, Zorka Wollny’s Voicers—Oratorio for Five Speakers and a Listening Crowd, is free.

No single tickets are available for venues exhibiting installation projects of the Grand Hotel Abyss program. Entry is only possible with a Festival Pass.


Reservations

We advise you to reserve a seat for performative projects as some venues have limited capacity. This can be done for a reservation fee of 2 Euro per seat online or at the Visitor and Press Center as long as tickets are available. Reservations are only valid in conjunction with a Festival Pass.

Please note that tickets are not sold at the respective venues exhibiting installation projects (except for Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst & Medien, Palais Attems 1st floor). Please visit us at the Visitor and Press Center to buy tickets in advance.

Admission to installations is granted up to thirty minutes before closing.

Single tickets for performances can be purchased at box offices located at the respective venue one hour before the performance begins. Tickets purchased in advance must be collected at least thirty minutes before the performance begins. Uncollected tickets for sold-out events will be released for resale after that time. Please note that there is no late admission.

For sold-out events, waiting numbers will be given out starting at one hour before the event. Shortly before the beginning of the event, remaining tickets will be distributed according to these numbers. Thank you for your patience.

Reduced Prices

Reduced admission is available to schoolchildren, apprentices/trainees, and students up to the age of twenty-five, checkit card-holders, unemployed people, senior citizens, people doing national service (military/non-military), and members of Ö1-Club, Standard Club der Leser, Kleine Zeitung Vorteilsclub, and holders of the SN-Card. Tickets cannot be exchanged or returned after purchase. Discounts cannot be claimed retroactively. Not all reductions may apply to partner programs or tickets bought in advance. Proof of eligibility must be provided upon ticket collection and admission.


Free admission for children under 12

Please collect a Festival Pass from the Visitor and Press Center in advance for your children.


Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur (Hunger for Art and Culture)

People with financial difficulties also have a right to experience art and culture. Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur benefits those who want to take part in cultural life but who cannot afford to. Proceeds from the sale of the herbst chocolate made by Zotter Schokoladen Manufaktur, available for purchase at the Visitor and Press Center and box offices, are used to fund tickets that are issued free of charge to Kulturpass (Culture Pass) holders. Please support this initiative.


Holding Graz 1+1 Aktion

Anyone who holds an annual or six-month card of the Holding Graz Linien, a SozialCard, a P+R Kombitickets, or Saisonkarte Freizeit Graz receives a second Festival Pass free of charge with the initial purchase of a Festival Pass.
